Plesk extension
Install the InfraFence extension for Plesk Obsidian, where it appears, who can use it, the Action Log entries and how to remove it.
Last updated:
The extension is in development: it is not ready for production servers yet. Write to info@infrafence.com if you want to try it.
Requirements
- Plesk Obsidian 18.0.60 or later, on Linux.
- An InfraFence organization on Basic, Pro or AutoMode: the extension, like the WHM plugin, is included in the paid plans only. It does not show the plan messages or the open and resolved state of the WHM plugin yet: with agent 1.0.34 or later, outside a paid plan its screens show an error with the code (
plan_required,unpaidorunknown) instead of data. - The InfraFence agent on the server. Without it, the extension shows one screen that explains how to add the server.
Install
plesk bin extension -i infrafence-plesk-1.0.0-1.zipThe same command upgrades it. To remove it:
plesk bin extension -u infrafenceRemoving it leaves nothing behind, and never touches the firewall, ModSecurity, fail2ban or the agent.
Where it appears
- In the left navigation, under Server Management, and as a button on the Home page.
- A status block for the Home page (Customize › Security).
Only the Plesk administrator can open it. It follows Plesk's language and its Contrast and dark themes.
How it runs
The extension runs as Plesk's own user, psaadm. It reaches the agent through a small wrapper that Plesk runs as root, /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/modules/infrafence/infrafence-panel. Every change goes through a confirmation, with Plesk's CSRF token, and is checked in the browser, in PHP, in the wrapper and in the agent. Scans run only on a site's document root inside Plesk's vhosts directory.
Each change is also written to Plesk's Action Log (Tools & Settings › Action Log): an address unbanned, allowed, removed from the allow list, or a scan started.
Optional setting
To point the "add this server" link to a different address, in /usr/local/psa/admin/conf/panel.ini:
[ext-infrafence]
addServerUrl = "https://infrafence.com/add-server"
