Ask your server

The InfraFence assistant answers questions about your servers and about InfraFence itself - what happened, where a setting is, how a feature works, what a plan includes - in your language, with a button to the right page.

Last updated:

Ask your server is the assistant of the dashboard (Pro and higher). Ask in plain words, in any of the dashboard's languages: it answers in the language the dashboard is set to.

What it answers

  • About your servers: what attacked them, which addresses are banned and why, who logged in over SSH and from where, what the scans found, how CPU, memory and disk are doing, what AutoMode and the emergency mode did. It looks the data up before answering and says so when there is nothing.
  • About InfraFence: how to do something (block a country, whitelist an address, pause AutoMode, add a team member, close an exposed port, install the WHM plugin), where something is in the dashboard (the install token, the bans, the attack map), why something is not available, and what each plan includes and costs.

Where to find it, in your words

For a question about the dashboard, the assistant gives the place as you see it, with the dashboard's own labels in your language, such as Settings › Agent › Blocked countries, and an Open button that takes you there. It knows the page you opened it from, so "where is it?" after looking at a page gets an answer about that page.

It answers from the documentation and from the dashboard itself, and links the documentation page it used. When the documentation does not cover something, it says so instead of guessing a menu.

When something is not available

If what you ask needs a higher plan, the owner or admin role, or two-factor authentication, the assistant says so first, and how to get it: a plan under Settings › Plan & billing, an owner or admin of your organization, or two-factor authentication under Settings › Security.

Fixes

When a fix clearly helps, the assistant suggests it with an Apply button; owners and admins decide. It never applies anything by itself, and every fix is checked again when you apply it, as for AutoMode.

Limits and privacy

  • Pro includes 200 questions a day per organization, AutoMode 500; each person can ask up to 20 an hour.
  • The assistant reads your organization's data the way you can see it in the dashboard, read only, and nothing else.
  • Your questions and the data the assistant looks up are sent to a third-party AI provider to write the answer, and the page says so. Answers are AI-generated: check them before acting. See the security model.
  • The conversation stays in the browser tab and is not saved.
